Voice capture

You should know what happens before the first question.

KEPT uses a voice AI interviewer to capture workplace knowledge through conversation. Live audio is processed and transcribed. KEPT's own systems store no raw audio after live processing, and the voice provider retains audio for up to seven days to run the service, then deletes it automatically. This notice explains what is created from the conversation and the choices available to participants.

What happens

  1. The participant receives a consent notice before capture.
  2. Live audio is transmitted to KEPT's voice provider.
  3. The conversation is transcribed.
  4. KEPT's own systems store no raw audio after live processing. The voice provider retains audio for up to seven days, then deletes the audio and its provider-side transcript automatically.
  5. KEPT creates cited knowledge from the participant's statements.
  6. KEPT creates internal signals that guide the interview.
  7. Authorized people may later query permitted knowledge.

What is not happening

KEPT does not use voice to identify a participant, create a voiceprint, secretly monitor ongoing work, or produce an employee score.

Participant choices

A participant may decline to begin, stop an active session, or submit a privacy request. Declining a session does not itself authorize an employer to use KEPT to monitor the person through another method.

Other people

Do not add another person to a capture session unless that person has received the notice and affirmatively consented.

Retention

KEPT's own systems store no raw audio. The voice provider retains call audio for up to seven days after a session, then deletes the audio and its provider-side transcript automatically; this was verified against the provider's live configuration on August 24, 2026. Transcripts, captured knowledge, chat, attachments, and internal interview signals are retained while the account is active, with one exception: if you leave a business workspace and the administrator chose that you take your contributions with you, those contributions are deleted fourteen (14) days after your access ends, whether or not you obtained a copy (the Departing Members and What They Take section of the Terms of Service). Account deletion has a 30-day recovery period. After that period, covered content is deleted from active systems and is no longer recoverable through KEPT, subject to limited legal records and the aging-out period of managed disaster-recovery copies.
