Ask for deletion in a business workspace

How a deletion request works, who decides, and the one exception.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

In a business workspace, the knowledge you capture for the workspace is the workspace's property. You can see all of it, correct it, and take back something you just said during a live call. Erasing it is a request.

  1. Open Settings from the account menu.
  2. Go to Privacy and data.
  3. Choose Request deletion.

Your workspace's owner and admins are told that a request exists, on their dashboard and by email. They are never told anything about you beyond that. If they approve it, an audited erasure runs. They can disapprove with a recorded reason or leave the request open with no deadline. A disapproval does not delete your account or knowledge or change your access, and you can submit a new request. Your request stays visible to you and survives even if you leave the workspace.

Where the law where your workspace operates gives you a legal right to erasure, the request runs on a clock instead: you are told the deadline when you ask, your workspace gets no say, and the erasure runs when the window closes.
